Battery swollen or deformed Causes:
1. Battery Damage: The battery itself can be damaged, especially since its interior is a vacuum structure. Once the exterior is compromised, the battery is likely to fail soon after. The most noticeable sign of this damage is battery swelling.
2. Overcharging: It will typically swell if the battery cell voltage exceeds 4.25V. A high-performance battery might recover after discharging for a while, but in severe cases, it may not recover even if external pressure is applied (which is difficult due to the vacuum structure).
3. Over-discharging: Over-discharging occurs when the battery cell voltage drops below 2.7V, and it generally becomes problematic below 2V. Many battery cells will swell if the voltage falls below 1V, rendering the battery unusable.
4. Other Causes: Other factors include excessively high instantaneous voltage during charging (possibly over 5V) and excessively high instantaneous current (such as from a short circuit causing infinite current).
If your phone's battery is swollen, please stop using it and contact the service center for testing. Our engineers will handle it properly for you.
