realme phones turn on the personal hotspot, but other devices cannot connect
Causes:
1. Hotspot function anomaly.
2. Limited by the Blocklist.
3. The number of connections reaches the maximum allowed connections.
4. When connecting VPN the hotspot may not connect to the network successfully.
Solutions:
1. Switch off/on the hotspot or restart the phone.
2. Remove the device from the blocklist.
Please check if the device is blacklisted. If so, please remove the device from the blacklist.
realme UI 1.0 and above versions: Settings > Search "Personal Hotspot" > Personal Hotspot > Connection Management > Blocklist.
realme UI R & S & T & Go & U Edition: Not supported.
3. Check the Maximum allowed connections.
Check if there are too many devices connected to the hotspot and reach the Maximum allowed connections. If so, please modify the number of connections that can be made or disconnect other devices.
realme UI 1.0 and above versions: Settings > Search "Personal Hotspot" > Personal Hotspot > Connection Management > Maximum allowed connections.
realme UI R & S & T & Go & U Edition: Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering > Wi-Fi Hotspot page > Max connections.
4. Disconnect from the VPN.
Please check if the phone with the hotspot on is using VPN. If so, disconnect from the VPN and re-open the hotspot to connect.
5. Reset network settings to try.
realme UI 2.0 and above versions: Settings > Search "Reset network settings" in the search bar > Reset Network settings/ Reset network and Bluetooth settings
realme R & Go & S & T & U Edition: Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.
realme UI 1.0: Not supported.
If none of the above methods can solve your problem, please back up your phone data and bring your purchase certificate to the nearest authorized realme service center for testing and processing.
