Causes:
1. If the selected signal source is different from the HDMI interface connected to the external device, the TV cannot recognize the external device.
2. If the TV prompts this information, it means the TV doesn’t recognize the external device. If the TV doesn’t prompt this information but the TV doesn’t have a picture, it means the TV recognizes the external device successfully, and there may be some issue with the external device.
3. Poor contact.
4. Broken cable.
5. Abnormal external device software.
6. Some settings of the external device need to be set, and then the picture of the external device can be outputted to the TV. For example, when connecting to the PC, press the Windows key and P key simultaneously to choose a presentation display mode.
7. If other external devices can work normally, it means there may be some issues with the external device. If other external devices can’t work properly, there may be some issues with the TV.
8. If other HDMI ports can work normally, there may be some issues with the HDMI port.
9. Abnormal TV.
Solutions:
1. Please check if the signal source selected in the input setting is the same as the HDMI interface used to connect to the external device. If not, please change the settings.
2. If TV prompts this information, please refer to solutions 3,4,8, and 9 to troubleshoot. If the TV doesn’t prompt this information but the TV doesn’t have a picture, please refer to solutions 5,6, and 7 to troubleshoot.
3. Please re-plug the HDMI cable at both ends of the device.
4. Replace a new HDMI cable.
5. Restart the external device.
6. Check if some settings need to be set when connecting to the TV.
7. If other external devices can work normally, it is suggested to change to other devices or contact the external device supplier for further help. If other external devices can’t work properly, please follow solutions 8.9 to troubleshoot.
8. If other HDMI ports can work normally, please contact us for further assistance. It is suggested to use other HDMI ports temporarily until the maintenance engineer comes to service.
9. Please restart the TV, and restore the TV to factory settings.
