Don't worry if your phone seems to be charging slowly. This is usually related to the charging accessories, your usage habits, software settings, or environmental conditions. The following guide will help you troubleshoot the issue and get your charging speed back to normal.
I. Ensure a Suitable Charging Temperature
Lithium battery efficiency is affected by temperature. Please make sure to charge your phone in an environment between 15°C and 35°C (59°F - 95°F). Avoiding direct sunlight or extremely cold environments will help maintain the best charging speed.
II. Hardware and Connection Check
1. Use original charging accessories
Please ensure you are using the original charger and cable that came with your phone. Third-party or incompatible accessories may not support the maximum power output, which can slow down charging.
2. Clean the charging ports
Check the phone’s charging port, the cable connectors, the charger, and the wall socket for dust or debris. Make sure all connections are tight and secure to ensure stable power flow.
III. System Settings and Software Check
1. Confirm Fast Charge mode and restart
Check if your phone has entered "Fast Charge" mode. If the Fast Charge icon doesn't appear, try unplugging and replugging the cable or restarting your phone. This can often reactivate the fast charging feature and boost speed.
2. Avoid high-power usage while charging
Try not to play heavy games, watch HD videos, or use the camera for a long time while charging. These activities drain power quickly and cause the phone to heat up, which slows down charging. If the phone feels hot, we recommend letting it cool down before continuing to charge.
3. Check Smart Charging settings
To protect battery health, the "Smart Charging" feature may pause charging after a certain percentage (like 80%) or slow it down while you sleep. If you need to charge up quickly right now, you can temporarily turn this off in Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Smart Charging.
