Signal strength is mainly affected by your surroundings, the condition of your SIM card, and carrier network fluctuations. It is usually not caused by a hardware failure on the phone itself.
If you are experiencing unstable signals, poor reception, or "No Service," please follow the steps below to troubleshoot. In most cases, this will quickly fix the issue.
I. Check Your Environment and External Interference
1. Move to an open area for testing
Buildings often block signals. If you are in a basement, elevator, sealed room, or a remote mountain area, it is normal for the signal to weaken. Please try moving outdoors or near a window to see if the signal bars return.
2. Remove metal cases
Metal phone cases or magnetic stands can seriously block antenna signals. We recommend removing these accessories and using the phone without a case to ensure they aren't causing interference.
II. Check Your SIM Card and Carrier Service
1. Re-insert or swap the SIM card
A worn or dirty SIM card chip can cause "No Service" issues. Please remove the SIM card, check if the metal side is dirty or oxidized, wipe it clean, and re-insert it. If possible, try inserting your SIM card into a family member's phone. If it doesn't work in their phone either, the SIM card itself is likely faulty, and you should visit your carrier's store for a replacement.
2. Check carrier network status
Occasional tower maintenance or faults can cause local signal loss. We suggest calling your carrier's customer service to ask if there are network issues in your area, or checking if friends using the same carrier nearby are facing the same problem.
III. Adjust System Settings
1. Toggle Airplane Mode to refresh the network
The network connection may get temporarily stuck. Please pull down the status bar, turn on "Airplane Mode," wait about 5 seconds, and then turn it off. This forces the phone to search for and reconnect to the signal tower, which often fixes temporary connection drops.
2. Reset Network Settings
If the methods above do not work, there may be an issue with the system network configuration. Please go to Settings, search for and select "Reset Network Settings" (or "Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth"). This will reset your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile network parameters (it will not delete your photos or app data), which helps clear conflicts and restore signal.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, we recommend backing up your important data and taking your phone, along with your proof of purchase, to a realme Service Center. Our professional engineers will inspect and resolve the issue for you.
