Taking photos and videos is one of the most demanding tasks for a smartphone. It requires the simultaneous operation of the camera, screen, processor, and AI algorithms to process images in real-time. This high-performance coordination naturally consumes more power than light daily tasks like texting. While increased battery usage is normal during extended camera sessions, you can follow these steps to optimize battery life.
I. Optimize Camera Settings
1. Lower video resolution and frame rate
Recording videos in high settings like 4K or 60fps requires significant processing power and writes large amounts of data to storage quickly. If you do not need professional-grade quality for daily recording, we recommend switching to 1080p or 30fps in the camera settings to save power.

2. Turn off unnecessary features
Features like flash, beauty mode, and AI scene enhancement require extra processing. Using the flash also directly consumes battery power. We recommend turning these features off when lighting conditions are good or when they are not strictly necessary.
3. Avoid frequent autofocus and zooming
Constantly adjusting the focus or zooming in and out forces the camera motor to work continuously, which increases power consumption. Try to keep the camera steady and minimize repetitive lens movements for better battery efficiency.
II. Manage Screen and Environment
1. Adjust screen brightness
The camera viewfinder keeps the screen active and often boosts brightness to ensure visibility outdoors. We recommend setting the brightness to "Auto" or manually lowering it when shooting indoors to reduce power drain.
2. Set a shorter auto-off time
If you leave the camera app open between shots, the screen remains on and continues to drain the battery. Please set your screen's auto-off time to 15 or 30 seconds, or manually lock the screen immediately after you finish taking a photo.

3. Avoid high temperatures
Shooting outdoors in direct sunlight or hot weather heats up the phone. High temperatures reduce battery efficiency and can cause the system to consume power faster. We recommend taking breaks to let the phone cool down during long shooting sessions.
