If your phone battery indicator jumps to 100% unusually quickly, it often indicates a discrepancy between the actual battery capacity and the system display.

This is usually a software calculation issue or a sign of an aging battery, rather than a failure of the charging system itself. Please follow the steps below to recalibrate and check your device.

I. System and Calibration

1. Restart the phone

A temporary software error may cause the battery percentage to display incorrectly. Please restart your phone to refresh the system. This often corrects minor display glitches and resets the battery monitoring logic.

2. Update the system

Outdated software can sometimes lead to inaccurate battery management. Please go to Settings > About device. Click Up to date /realme UI on the top to check if a new version is available. Updating to the latest system version optimizes the battery algorithm and improves display accuracy.

3. Calibrate the battery

If the issue persists, the battery gauge may need recalibration. Please use your phone until it shuts down automatically due to low power. Then, while the phone is off, charge it continuously until it reaches 100%. This process helps the system relearn the actual capacity of the battery.

II. Environment and Battery Health

1. Check the ambient temperature

Batteries are sensitive to temperature. If the environment is very cold or very hot, the battery voltage may fluctuate, causing the system to misread the power level. Please ensure you are charging and using the phone in a room temperature environment (15°C to 35°C) for accurate readings.

2. Check battery condition

If your phone has been in use for several years, the battery may have naturally aged. An aging battery loses real capacity and charges up very quickly, but also drains very fast. If you notice the battery life is significantly shorter than before, the battery may need to be replaced.
