Phone calls are intermittent

Choppy or cutting-out audio during calls is usually caused by network conditions or interference from accessories. Don't worry—a few simple checks can often solve this. Please try the steps below:

I. Check Network and Environment

1. Move to an area with a better signal

If you are in an elevator, basement, or an area with weak coverage, or if you are moving quickly (like in a car or train), signal fluctuations can cause audio issues. We recommend moving to an open area with a stable signal and trying the call again.

2. Check the other person's connection

If the audio only cuts out when talking to a specific person, but works fine with everyone else, the issue is likely with their network or device, not yours.

3. Remove metal phone cases

Metal cases can interfere with your phone's antenna reception. Please try removing the case to see if the call quality improves.

II. Test the Speaker and Receiver

Try playing music stored on your phone or listening to voice messages on apps (like WhatsApp).

  • If the music or voice messages are also choppy, there may be a hardware issue with your speaker or receiver.

  • If they sound clear, your hardware is working fine, and the issue is likely caused by the network signal.

If the steps above do not solve the problem, please back up your important data and bring your proof of purchase to a realme Customer Service Center. Our professional engineers will be happy to inspect your device and assist you.
