Lag or stuttering when scrolling through apps is usually caused by screen refresh rate settings, low storage space, or your system version. This is a common occurrence. Please try the following steps to optimize your experience.
I. Enable High Refresh Rate
If your phone supports a high refresh rate, the system may lower it automatically to save power when the battery is low or when set to "Auto Select." This can cause the screen to feel less responsive.
We recommend keeping your battery charged or going to Settings > Display & Brightness > Screen Refresh Rate and manually selecting High for the smoothest experience.
II. System Maintenance and Update
1. Free Up System Resources
Running too many apps in the background for a long time can use up system resources. Open Phone Manager and tap Optimize. The system will automatically close unnecessary processes and adjust your phone for the best performance.
2. Clean Up Storage Space
Low storage space (especially when less than 20% is free) slows down data processing. Go to Phone Manager and tap Clean Up Storage. Follow the prompts to delete junk files or uninstall apps you rarely use to ensure your phone has enough space to run smoothly.
3. Update Your System
Older systems or apps may have compatibility issues. Go to Settings > About Device > Click the top card to check for and install the latest system update. Also, update your apps to the latest versions via the App Market to ensure better performance.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, please back up your data and visit a realme Customer Service Center with your proof of purchase for further inspection.
