Wi-Fi instability is usually caused by router performance, environmental interference, or broadband quality, rather than a hardware issue with your phone. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below. These methods often improve network connection stability effectively.

I. Optimize Signal Environment and Frequency Bands
1. Connect to the 5GHz band and move closer to the router
The 2.4GHz band is easily disrupted by Bluetooth and other devices, which causes slow speeds. If your router supports dual bands, we recommend prioritizing the Wi-Fi signal ending in "-5G". Also, walls and long distances significantly weaken signals. Please use your phone closer to the router to prevent disconnections.
2. Check for other devices using up bandwidth
If other devices on the same Wi-Fi network are downloading large files, streaming HD videos, or syncing data, they will use up most of the network resources. We recommend temporarily pausing internet use on these high-load devices to see if your phone's connection becomes smooth again.
II. Check Router and Broadband Issues
1. Check router settings and status
Some older routers may become unstable when the IPv6 feature is enabled. We recommend turning off the IPv6 switch in your router's admin settings. Additionally, if other phones or computers on the same network also experience lag or disconnection, the router may be overloaded or aging. Please restart or replace the router.
2. Test broadband line quality
Fluctuations in the carrier's broadband line will cause issues for all devices. We recommend using third-party speed test apps. If you find high latency (Ping) or packet loss greater than 1%, the quality of your home broadband is poor. Please contact your internet service provider directly for repairs.
III. Reset Wireless Settings and Update System
1. Reset network settings and check for updates
Network configuration conflicts or outdated system versions can affect connectivity. Go to Settings, search for and select "Reset Network Settings". This will reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth records (it will not delete photos or personal data) and helps clear cache errors. Also, go to Settings > About Device, tap the top card, and update your phone to the latest version for better compatibility.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, we recommend backing up your important data and taking your phone, along with your proof of purchase, to a realme Service Center. Our professional engineers will inspect and resolve the issue for you.
If the above methods do not solve your problem, please back up your data and go to the nearest realme customer service center for testing.
