Problem phenomenon:

After updating Windows 11, the taskbar disappears, and the desktop freezes.

Solution:

1. Boot into the system and press Ctrl+Shift+Esc at the same time to start the task manager

2. Select File > Run new task and type control.exe

3. In Control Panel, navigate to Clock and Region

4. Choose Set the time and date

5. Under Internet Time go to Change settings and uncheck Synchronize with an Internet time server

6. Go back to Date and Time tab and select Change date and timezone

7. Set the calendar to a few days ahead of the current date and hit OK

8. Restart the PC

After rebooting, if everything is working, it appears you can set the time and date back manually and still be OK after another reboot.
